Are you ready to step into your power and ignite your inner warrior? Then come join us, embrace the cold and awaken your senses on this never-to-be-forgotten adventure!

Discover how good your body is meant to feel!

SWEDEN

Your love affair starts here…

White tundra stretches to the horizon. Nestled away in the wilderness, an oasis of calm. Sipping hot chocolate, warming yourself in front of a roaring fire, the crackle and snap of wood delights your senses as the setting winter sun slowly sinks behind a carpet of forest.

…it’s the end of an incredible day spent experiencing the stunning wilderness, a breathtaking frozen lake, snowy hikes and stargazing night walks, all in fairytale winter conditions!

You laugh with new friends, sharing your adventures from the lake, Qi Gong, breathwork and more. Your inner warrior has emerged!

Gazing across a magnificent star-studded night sky, you can hardly believe that at last, you are here… making snow angels in the middle of a frozen lake!

(It’s hard NOT to feel like the Mystical Lion on the set of The Chronicles of Narnia).

Ah… the delights of Sweden! Let me tell you more…

Ready to take the plunge? Read on…

Breathe some of the world's purest air and experience the vastness of the fell landscapes around you. Here you can enjoy the pure silence and many possibilities to discover it. Renowned for its abundance of wildlife including moose, elk, snow rabbits and wolves, the wilderness is ideal for anyone looking for a challenging and inspiring retreat!

Whether you’re hooked on cold-water swimming or trying it for the first time, come and join us in the middle of nature for an aquatic immersion in Sweden in March, when you’ll really feel the benefits of the cool temperatures. Stay in a cosy traditional Swedish cabin, in a gorgeous setting with breathtaking views across Lake Tyngstö. The itinerary includes guided ice-dips with a qualified local, hot saunas, Qi Gong, breathwork, meditation, dogsledding adventures* and snowshoe treck. Challenge yourself and crucially, connect with other like-minded individuals. ‘Ice-dips in a community is important’; tackling the challenge alongside others in a group is easier, as everyone is encouraging everyone else.

In winter, the frozen lake of Tyngstö is not only amazing for ice-dips, walks and cross-country snowshoeing, but also nature’s own Aurora theatre for the twinkling of millions of stars and if you’re lucky, a Northern Lights show. Nestled in the basement of our temporary home is a beautiful wood lined sauna to reconnect your mind and body, improve circulation, boost energy or just to warm up, after your dip in the lake. The fireplace glows warm, and the windows present a beautiful view over the lake. The accommodation is Swedishly simple, warm, clean and comfortable, with spacious bedrooms.

Each day you will be served delicious homemade meals, from our wonderfully, talented chef. Here, plant-based dishes reflect the season, crafted to nourish and comfort in equal measure. On your plate, rich, earthy flavours and vibrant colours bring life to the snowy landscape outside. Each dish is a celebration of winter’s bounty, creating moments of warmth and joy that linger long after the meal is over.

Designed to re-energise the body and refocus the mind, discover the innate healing properties of our connection to the world we are a part of, and leave feeling restored from the inside out! The best bit, is that you'll go home feeling grounded, centred and energised with a renewed sense of what is possible for you and a tool kit of techniques to use in your daily life.

(*Dogsledding Adventure included in the 5-Day Retreat only)

The Power Of…

COLD THERAPY

BENEFITS OF BECOMING An Ice-Berg Ninja

The benefits of cold water have been widely researched and documented. Research shows cold water immersion helps to build your immune system, activate endorphins and create a deeper sense of wellbeing, reduce stress and anxiety, burn calories, deepen sleep, improve circulation and reduce muscle soreness.

Whether you’re a beginner or already an experienced Cold Water Warrior, take the plunge and elevate to the next level of Ice Berg Ninja (0-5 degrees Celsius)!

BREATHWORK

Breathwork can be a powerful tool for physical and mental health.

On a physical level, it can help to reduce stress and anxiety, improve cardiovascular health, and increase oxygen intake. It can also help to boost the immune system, reduce inflammation, and improve overall energy levels.

Each inhale infuses us with life force, while each exhale carries away toxins and stagnant energy. Breathwork ignites the dormant fire within, unlocking our true potential and restoring balance to our existence.

QI GONG

Studies have shown after one qigong session, the energy flowing through meridians becomes stronger and the balance between the parasympathetic and sympathetic nervous systems is improved.

Autonomic balance has been proven to help increase longevity and quality of life.

An ancient Chinese healing technique, Qigong meditation is when you combine controlled breathing, and deliberate and gentle movements with meditation to improve your physical, spiritual, and mental health.

Itinerary Example

  • With exception of the Dogsledding Adventure Day, we will start each morning with a Qi Gong session to invigorate and energise our bodies. Then, after breakfast, you may choose to spend the morning as you wish or join us for a trek through the stunning countryside, maybe even spotting the odd moose or two! Yes, we did say moose!

  • After a group lunch and a short break to let our food digest, you will be guided through breathing and meditation to help you prepare for the upcoming extremities. We will then leave the comforts of our cabin and wander down to Lake Tyngso where we will submerge ourselves into the invigorating water.

  • Safety is foremost, and each physical body is different, we therefore assess the length of time spent in the water according to each individual. Our aim is for each person to receive maximum benefit and to feel empowered, exhilarated, and revived.  Once we have reached our limit, we will raise our core temperature by relaxing in our beautiful sauna, back in the house.

  • After dinner, each evening there will either be a restorative Qi Gong session, holistic breathwork for better sleep or a fireside meditation/yoga nidra.

  • 5-Day Retreat only: Dogsledding Adventure Day… will be an early start, as we have a long drive ahead of us. Once we arrive at our destination, we will spend the morning with a beautiful group of eager, happy, furry, noisy Huskie dogs. Their cries of joy and excitement just before the tour starts will immediately turn into a focused silence once the anchor line is pulled and the sleds are mobile. Only the sound of panting and the dog’s paws running in the cold snow breaks the silence. We will make a short stop at a mountain cabin where coffee, hot chocolate and snacks will be available (bring cash as some of the cabins are cardless) There will of course also be time to cuddle with our new furry friends! After our busy morning, we will grab a delicious hot lunch at a local restaurant, followed by a spot of shopping for that ‘special gift’, before heading home.

*The order of each day may be subject to change, dependent on weather conditions.

Your Host - Tracey Adam

For over 25 years, I worked in the film & TV industry as a Producer making films for the cinema, but in May 2018, my world was turned upside down when I was diagnosed with very aggressive MS.

Three very dear friends gave me three incredible books, ‘You Are The Placebo’ by Dr Joe Dispenza, ‘Your Mind Can Heal Your Body’ by Matthew Manning and ‘The Medical Medium’ by Anthony William. The work these men have dedicated their lives to has been inspirational and life changing for me and completely transformed the way I view illness.

I have realised that although modern medicine is incredible for certain conditions, it is not yet there with fully understanding chronic illness. That part of the puzzle is missing. Recognising how our bodies function and the ability for our bodies to repair and heal, is vastly underestimated, and I truly believe that armed with the right knowledge and tools, it is possible to heal from anything. This is a journey I’ve started and feel a passion to share with everyone.

Tracey is now a certified Practitioner and Breath Coach. She studied with internationally known Qi Gong Master & book author, Lee Holden and with Brian Kelly, Founder of Breath Masters Academy. She is an advanced student of Dr Joe Dispenza, world-renowned scientist & teacher of advanced meditation techniques.

Tracey works with clients to design efficient and ergonomic mind-body solutions that incorporate breath, mindfulness, and movement to boost energy levels and enhance quality of life. She also works as a Qi Gong Practitioner & Breath Coach, offering daily classes and runs workshops and retreats in the UK and Europe.

Tracey’s purpose is to embody and share the healing wisdom of the ancient techniques for vitality, mindfulness and empowerment through the practices of these healing arts.

Your Chef – Nourish Me Wild

Chamiah is a plant-based retreat chef and women’s circle facilitator. Her passion for plants was ignited after seeing transformative effects on her own health after changing to a plant-based diet. Chamiah has supplied cafes, deli’s and restaurants with her healthy sweet treats, even going on to open her own cafes in the Midlands. She now travels around the UK and Europe fuelling retreat guests with her creative plant centric dishes. Whole seasonal foods are the focus of all Chamiah’s creations, she loves working with wild foraged ingredients and turning these into medicinal food magic to nourish retreat guests.

Some Kind Words

“I personally have never done anything like the retreat in Sweden before and to say I was a little anxious is an understatement. When the eight of us arrived, I think the population must’ve increased by 10 percent! For me, there were so many memorable moments. I loved the ice dipping and by the third time I was really comfortable with it. The lake had a beautiful energy, and it was great to relax in the sauna afterwards together, talking and putting the world to rights in a very relaxed atmosphere. Then there was the day excursion with the huskies - I don’t think putting it into words could fully justify that experience. The scenery and the dogs were truly amazing. I think it’s one of those things you have to do yourself to really understand the experience. None of us could stop smiling! Later that evening, we bonded around the campfire and participated in a traditional cacao ceremony, which was incredibly powerful stuff for me and quite emotional (in a good way!). Qigong was a new experience for me too, but I couldn’t stop smiling the entire time. It's something I will be continuing with since leaving the retreat. Tracey, knowing I was a newbie, made me always feel comfortable and at ease.

For me, it was a life changing adventure and for all my fear and preconceptions, the biggest lesson I learned was to let go and face your fears. I met amazing people that I’m sure will be friends for life. I cannot recommend this retreat enough and I’m very grateful for the experience”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Alan Bromage (2024)

“Wow, wow, wow! The retreat was just awesome! It was beautiful, tranquil, secluded, and so inviting, with such great energy! Everything about it was just perfect. I loved getting up every morning to practise qigong with Tracey. I loved the dogsledding in that beautiful environment with such a great bunch of people. Getting into the lake, surpassed anything I could imagine. I loved all of it and I’m looking forward to going back again!”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Steve Rosen (2024)

“I felt truly nourished and inspired by this retreat.  It was extra special because it offered an introduction to other ways of working with energy and stimulating the body’s innate healing mechanisms by combining breathwork, qigong and cold-water. I will definitely be back for more!”

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐Sally TS (2023)

“I have been on the Swedish retreat with Tracey twice. It is a very special place to be and Tracey cares greatly about making it a wonderful experience. Tracey is also a brilliant qi gong teacher and a joy to spend time with. I feel very lucky to have met her and to have the opportunities for the retreats that she offers. Her short London retreats are also a special and restorative haven.”
